Conrad Hamilton is an assistant professor at the School of Politics and International Relations at East China Normal University, programmer of Sociopolitical Thought at the New Centre for Research & Practice, and managing editor of the International Journal of Cultural Studies. His research concerns the relationship between social agency and the value-form in the mature work of Karl Marx. He is co-author of Myth and Mayhem: A Leftist Critique of Jordan Peterson and Flowers for Marx, author of the forthcoming Marxism contra Subjectivity and The Contagion of Reality: Video Games Between Art and Politics, and editor of the forthcoming The Conscious Core of the Commodity: Essays on Real Abstraction. He has appeared at over 20 international conferences and has published in Jacobin, Sublation Magazine, Cosmonaut Magazine, The Morning Star, Areo, Everyday Analysis, The South China Morning Post, The Philosophical Salon, &&& and Merion West.
